What did the #ShiggyChallenge do for Drake’s, In My Feelings?

I’m sure you’ve seen the dance by now, known as the #ShiggyChallenge or the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, the viral dance craze has taken the internet by storm like many before it, but this time it’s making the rich much much richer.

Drake released a track, In My Feelings, on his newest album Scorpion, and Instagram influencer @theshiggyshow created a dance to the record that caught fire.

Here is the original.

By now there have probably been millions of reenactments, some great some not so great.

Celebrities taking on the challenge are most people's expectations.

But then there are some takers that just don’t quite have the same rhythm.

The viral dance challenge helped Drake’s record rise straight to the top of the charts, but the question is, does Drake need to give all the credit to Shiggy?

Now yes, Drake is indeed an international superstar and doesn’t need too much help to have a top charting record, but the #ShiggyChallenge helped boast a 113% increase in plays in one day, so yes it helped quite a bit.

We’re in a time where going viral happens very fast and plenty of people benefit from it, but determining when it will happen next is nearly impossible. So good luck trying to become the next viral star, the chances are slim.
