The actor, who had roles on many hit shows, such as 'Modern Family,' 'iCarly,' 'The Goldbergs,' and more, was found unresponsive on Friday.
According to Just Jared, at the time he was found, Odell, 20, was staying at a Sober Living facility.
In their statement, the family said Odell was a brilliant young man and was very loving. They added, at such a young age, Odell had so much more to share with the world.
The family also said they will be grieving privately, and did not plan to release any more statements.
At this time, it is not clear how he died.
