Neal E. Boyd, who won season 3 of the show, reportedly died yesterday.
At the time of his passing, he was only 42 years old.
Boyd, who captivated the country with his beautiful singing voice, had a known heart condition.
You may recall, he and his mother were in a car accident last year after Boyd passed out while driving.
Both were badly injured during the ordeal.
According to TMZ, Boyd passed away due to heart failure.
The family has not requested that an autopsy be conducted.
