Demi Lovato Just Made a Heartbreaking Confession
It’s no secret that Demi Lovato has battled demons for years, but her latest confession on the Dr. Phil Show is truly heartbreaking.
During the episode, Lovato revealed that the first time she contemplated suicide was at the age of seven.
Yes, seven.
According to People, at the time, the pop star said she was fascinated with death.
She went on to say that there are things that have happened to her in her life that she has not revealed or opened up about.
She admitted she might never talk about those incidents, but she knew at age seven, if she were to die, the pain would go away.
In the past, Lovato has been very open about her addiction issues, in addition to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Growing up, relying on addiction was an escape of sorts, a way to help her cope with the pain.
Today, Lovato is clean and sober, and we are certainly grateful she did not attempt to take her own life when she was seven.
