Nelly’s Lawyer Just Issued A Statement After Rape Allegations Surface
Just moments after news surfaced regarding the arrest of rapper Nelly after an alleged rape, his lawyer issued a statement regarding the incident.
The statement, published on the Just Jared website paints the rapper as the victim and eludes to the allegations being false.
The statement goes on to say that the lawyer’s client (Nelly) is confident these charges will be dropped after the sexual assault allegations are fully investigated.
News of Nelly’s arrest was first reported by TMZ, who indicated the rapper was arrested without incident earlier this morning.
Nelly is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line, and they are slated to perform in Washington this evening.
At this time, it is not known if Nelly is still in custody or whether or not he will perform tonight.
