Meghan Trainor Announces New Album And 2024 Tour

Meghan Trainor is releasing her sixth studio album, with an accompanying tour featuring a major star from the early aughts. On Thursday (March 14), the Grammy-winner treated fans to her new collaborative single "Been Like This" with T-Pain while celebrating the ten-year anniversary of her debut hit, "All About That Bass." Posting on social media, Trainor, 30, expressed her gratitude for her "Megatronz," while sharing more details about her upcoming album Timeless, which she'll be supporting with a massive headlining tour later this year. The Timeless Tour is Trainor's first in seven years since her The Bass Tour in 2014. "This new album and tour are all for them and my beautiful family," she continued in her announcement. Trainor shares sons Riley, 3, and 8-month-old Barry with husband Daryl Sabara. Making Meghan's Dreams Come True Timeless is set to drop on June 14th. T-Pain said he spent quite a bit of time trying to make a collaboration with Trainor come to fruition. The 39-year-old singer and rapper said he's worked with Meghan's husband and manager "for MONTHS trying to surprise her for her birthday." The "Made You Look" singer's birthday is December 22. "She’s been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual." https://youtu.be/q52GnyHuMLw The "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" performer continued, "I think we came together in a way that’s a perfect mesh of styles that will get everybody ready for us to work together again real soon. T-Pain and M-Train: the collab you never knew you wanted but needed." https://www.instagram.com/p/C4gsz05PQ_T/ Reacting to the news of Trainor's new music, folks on X (formerly Twitter) were absolutely ruthless. One person wrote: "watch all the songs sound the same." Another person asked: "What is with this continuous flop aesthetic she has?" Another person commented on her choice in album title, "But why? Is any of her music timeless?!" A third said: "She triggers my fight or flight response." Posting her album artwork, one person wrote: "Meghan Trainor has threatened to release new album ‘Timeless’ on June 14th." Another cleverly said, "more like Outdated." One person said about her artistry: "Should’ve been titled ‘Stale’, because there’s been absolutely zero artistic growth or development." Following the new album's release, Trainor's The Timeless Tour features special guests Natasha Bedingfield, Paul Russell, Chris Olsen, and Ryan Trainor (her younger brother). Kicking off on September 4 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the tour is a month and a half long, concluding in Inglewood, California, on October 19th.
