You may have been pretty happy to see 2016 depart, but you have to admit that there’s something a little disappointing about packing up your holiday decorations and knowing that now you’ve got the whole, dreary winter ahead of you. If you could use a few things to throw on your calendar to look forward to, we’ve got you covered. Here are some exciting things headed your way in 2017:

You can (hopefully) watch Bachelor Nick Viall find love

He’s no stranger to Bachelor Nation, but now Nick Viall is back as the star of his own installment of the ever-popular franchise. Season 21 of The Bachelor debuted January 2nd and we’ve all got our fingers crossed that this time Nick finds true love and lives happily ever after.

Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

A miniseries based on the popular children’s book series will debut on Netflix in mid-January, starring Neil Patrick Harris.

The Britney Spears biopic as presented by Lifetime

Yes, it’s basically guaranteed to be cheesy, but if you love Britney you’ll want to give this a watch. It spans her entire career, from her days as a child star to the K. Fed era and beyond. Embrace the corniness, make some popcorn, and enjoy it. It’s hitting the small screen in February.

The Nintendo Switch

If you’re a gamer or know someone who is, 2017 is going to be an awesome year. Nintendo is expected to debut the Switch in March, which (as the name suggests) lets you easily go from playing games on a tablet to letting the action unfold on your TV screen.

The newest book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series

It’s the book series on which Game of Thrones is based, and author George R.R. Martin promises the latest installment will come out this year, possibly as early as March. It will be packed with action too, including plenty of battle scenes, so get ready.

You’ll finally be able to see Hamilton

You wanted to be a part of the Hamilton craze, and in 2017 it will be possible. The record-breaking show will do a national tour this year, with stops in cities throughout the U.S., so download the soundtrack now and get ready to understand what all of the hype is about.
